Purpose of the Position:

Oversee and manage China training operations across business units / plants / locations to effectively assist in training effectiveness;

Manage training support including training planning, activities and programs for CI RHQ organization and its hosted clients.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Do training needs analysis for China and coordinate the training needs to draft regional training plan.
  • Coordinate training program implementation, liaise with vendors, trainers, local coordinators
  • Support HRBP for program consulting and resource recommendation
  • Build and develop internal resources pool and platform in the region
  • Assist and Coordinate RHQ training budgeting and cost allocations
  • Lead China learning council to set up regional platform where to share learning practices for continuous improvement as well as resource sharing.
  • Coach China LTCs in CLC data administration and training administration operations
  • Identify opportunities for standardizing China learning programs.
  • Set up data base China training activities to improve training management and deliver training report for the region and RHQ
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and regional TD COE regarding instructional design.
  • Network with China BUHR and regional TD COE and WD&L to streamline overall China training processes and more effectively manage learning
  • Liaise with GSM, regional TD COE to source external courses/opportunities to complement standard curriculum
  • Lead or support training projects and events wherever needed

 

Education & Experience:

Bachelors Degree (required)

  • Graduate Degree in HR-related academic discipline (desired)

 

Desired Skills:

  • Over 6 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist combined)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in training management
  • Work experience supporting multiple divisions / entities
  • Successful track record in the design, development and deployment of regional or cross business/entity training/HR processes or programs
  • Successful track record in partnering with external providers / vendor management
  • Experienced in learner-centered training delivery and instructional design
  • Six Sigma experience /Greenbelt certification
  • Strong communications skills, negotiation and strategic thinking
  • Proven needs assessment and gap analysis skills

  • Subject Matter Expertise in two or more of the following areas:  talent planning/people planning, organization development/organization design, change management, leadership assessment, executive coaching, executive development programs, leadership development, learning, surveys, workforce planning, talent metrics/data analysis.
