Applications Engineer

Purpose of the position:

• New glass technical transfer, glass finishing and quality troubleshooting in finishers

• Joint DOE with finishers

• Cooperation with US technical team to solve onsite issues in finishers

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Leading technical support in finishers sides

• Handle customer technical issues and build up working relationship at all levels

• Coordinates with sales team to ensure seamless support and service to the customer

• Deliver solutions to resolve technical issues and escalate to appropriate level if necessary

• Negotiate and close technical specifications with customers

• Manage Cover Glass parts, glass finishing business and process

• Develops knowledge of material, process and/or equipment in focused areas of manufacturing or engineering

• Problem solving and process improvement using structured problem solving methods

• Provides disciplined project leadership across multiple stages of innovation for new product, process, cost reduction and capacity improvement initiatives

• Manage project resources to achieve project deliverables and timeline

Project involved with:

• New Glass /Cover Glass Parts/Finishing process development in finishers

Reporting Structure:

• Immediate Supervisor: Tiger Zi

Education & Experience

• Bachelor or master degree with Material Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanics. Master is better.

• 3 years working experience in Mobile Phone business, glass finishing industry, cover glass cutting/polishing/chemical strength/metrology/coating, LCD, Touch Panel, semiconductor business

• CET4 or above Required Skills
