Purpose of Position:
• Develop and communicate resource plans (operation/capacity planning, materials planning and production planning) to ensure consistent availability of materials and utilization of capacity to meet customer expectations on delivery of Finished Goods
• Develop major commodities and product lines with less stable demands which are produced using complex processes, including new products; monitors and coordinates execution of same. 
• Develop and implement procedures that will continuously improve plans and execution of same.


Major Responsibilities:

On-going Tasks:
1. Develop operation and capacity plans to assure appropriate resources to achieve manufacturing and business service level objectives. Assures effective capacity utilization.
2. Develop production plan for CSCL. Implement procedures to continuously improve plans and their successful execution.
3. Develop material planning and plan material purchasing schedules, manage inventories to meet required lead times and company inventory target.
4. Schedule customer orders to meet required lead times; take appropriate action to meet unplanned demand changes.
5. Coordinate requirements with production schedules and customer requirements to assure they are in sync with promised shipments, forecasts and issues.
6. Bottleneck management, work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Import/Export to eliminate sources of interruptions and/or develop alternative sources of supply;
7. Lead New Product introduction process, responsible for on time manufacturing and delivery of new product.
8. Reviews planning reports, analyzes information, and takes appropriate action to update plan and cover demands.
9. Lead development of new production planning processes and systems to support Order Fulfillment process improvements.
10. Host periodic ops plan meeting and trigger related action plans with balanced, optimized and proactive S&OP plan.
11. Train/coach others in areas of expertise

A. Internal Contacts – Close contact with Shift Supervisor, Warehouse, Import/Export, Quality Assurance, Customer Service and all Engineers in the Company. Some interface with other plant planning, Division Planning and Division Customer Service team.
B. External Contacts – Some interface with customers and material suppliers

Competencies (skills, knowledge and abilities)
• Familiar with manufacturing principles, MRP and S&OP concept
• Professional planning skills
• Good coordination skills, communication skills (including English) and computer application (SAP IBP, MS Office, Access, etc.) skills.
• Process thinking - logical problem analysis, decision analysis and understanding of potential problems
• Customer-oriented and flexible
• Good time management skill to prioritize multi-tasks
• Initiative, pro-active, self-motivated


Qualifications (educational background and years of relevant experience)
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or Engineering or similar fields
• Minimum 6 years experience or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment;
• Work experience in multi-national companies highly preferred.
