The Scrum Master will be part of an AP emerging technologies team working with domain experts, application developers, controls engineers, data engineers and data scientists. Their primary responsibility will be to work with a dynamic, Agile based team of multi-disciplinary engineers to ensure the execution of Agile methodologies and definition/execution/monitoring of internal processes and procedures supporting our advanced analytics projects. These systems need to be reliable, environment agnostic and portable across on-premise and cloud compute environments.


This role will be a facilitator for an agile team working under the scrum methodology. The scrum master serves as a point person responsible for understanding the development picture of each sprint. They are responsible for delegating tasks appropriately and ensuring the team is working on the right tasks at the right time. They also want to ensure the team is fully deployed and not idle. The role of scrum master involves working closely with the product owner to translate epics, stories, and other items on the sprint list into actionable tasks for developers.


The Scrum Master will support several projects running in parallel, they will be responsible:

Keeping a backlog of activity (Jira), facilitating sprint planning, execution, stand-ups, retrospectives and reviews as well as metrics to measure each project’s execution.

This role will also be responsible for educating the region around Product Ownership and Agile practicesas well as the teams involved directly in the proof-of-value efforts. They will work in conjunction with the Agile Center of Excellence (COE) team and be an active participating member of the Agile COE as it is built out in North America and Asia Pacific.

The role will also be responsible for assisting in the marketing of activities, business engagement in region with product owners and other stakeholders, as well as finding proof-of-value proposals for the region.

Experience Requirements:

•Bachelor’s Degree from accredited University

• PSM Level II certification (nice to have) , which demonstrates advanced scrum proficiency

• 5+ years of relevant experience in IT and Agile practices

• 2-4+ years providing direct business partner engagement

• 3+ years of hands on Agile (key and must) and process improvement experience

• Experience with Implementing processes and procedures within dynamic team settings

• Basic understanding of systems engineering, software engineering, and cloud and security engineering concepts

• 3+ years of experience in use of JIRA, Trello, Slack and Confluence (Git lab preferred) nice to have

• Experience working with developers/engineers and implementation of process improvement

• Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office tools

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

• Ability to work independently

Desired Requirements:

• Agile Certification (CSM, SAFe,, etc.) kind of certification preferred

• ITIL knowledge a plus

• Advanced understanding of systems engineering and cyber security engineering concepts

• PMP Certification a plus

• General project schedule management experience must (basic project management experience):

monitor activity – like a project manager.
