Legal Counsel

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and assess potential legal and/or reputational risk in support of business partners and recommend practical, creative solutions that balance legal risk with business impact.

Provide advice and guidance on a variety of employment law matters, such as the development and implementation of employee policies, organizational restructures, and other HR practices.

Monitor legislation, regulations, cases of the courts and government enforcement activities and provide proactive, strategic advice related to employment law to relevant business partners.

Support and collaborate with cross-functional business partners on special projects to drive and sustain employment law compliance and further the long-term interests of the Company.

Work with outside counsels to manage the labor arbitration and/or lawsuits

Conduct legal compliance trainings as needed

Perform additional legal and compliance duties as experience and workload permit.

Education & Experience

Graduated from top tier China law school, admitted to practice law in China

3-5 years of practice experience in employment law field in a law firm or company

Required Skills    

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in Mandarin and English

Expertise in PRC employment law

High level of integrity with ability to foster a culture of compliance

Ability to work within a global, matrix environment

Ability to balance multiple deadlines and priorities

Ability to research laws/regulations to ensure company compliance in China
