Scope of Position:

In this role, you will support a wide array of quality department tasks relating to developing and implement systems, procedures, and projects required to successfully accomplish departmental, plant, and corporate goals and objectives. Makes decisions based upon sound quality, engineering and scientific methods.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Assist in development of measurement systems that support quality manufacturing philosophy.
  • Draft and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Analyze quality metrics, identify opportunities and risks, develop plans for mitigation of risks and implement necessary changes to ensure sustainment of quality management systems.
  • Supports document management and storage control, ensuring Records management audit readiness.
  • Support internal, customer, and external audits as needed.


Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10%.


Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

  • Summer internship start: 5/25/2021  
  • Monday – Friday, standard business hours.


Required Education:

  • Pending Sophomore, Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program in an Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, other Natural Sciences or related degree program.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.


Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
  • Technical writing skills.


Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

  • Prior manufacturing or quality internship or experiences.
  • Basic statistical understanding.
  • Experience dealing with suppliers and other external partners.
  • Prefer hands on lab exposure or interest.


Soft Skills:

  • Creative and technically curious.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Results oriented and high commitment level.
  • Effective communication & presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work on diverse project teams.
  • Ability to build new business relationships.
