Scope of Position:

In this role, you will be responsible for increasing asset availability through the utilization of reliability tools, methods, and practices with consideration given to cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime and repair/replacement. We look for you to be self-driven/self-motivated and capable of working proficiently, both independently and as part of a team, without direct supervision.  You should be capable of analyzing conditions, technical troubleshooting and identify and repair mechanical and electrical issues.  We look for you to  have a passion for safety and be able to foster effective working relationships built upon trust and respect within all levels of the organization.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the evolution from reactive to proactive maintenance, which will lead to productivity improvement and a reduced maintenance cost.
  • Perform predictive maintenance techniques on molding and automation equipment to enhance uptime conditions.
  • Work with maintenance to create asset care strategies that focus on failure prevention and equipment reliability.
  • Assist in diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds of machines; partner with engineering or others on non-routine repairs.
  • Participate in problem solving activities and recommend changes to the care of assigned equipment.
  • Utilize root cause analysis thought process to ensure sustainability of corrective actions and/or improvements to drive asset reliability.
  • Utilize the continuous improvement mindset and tools to actively participate in identifying and correcting opportunities, improving processes including participation in the creation and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, the creation and maintenance of preventative maintenance standards.
  • Proficient and diligent in use of CMMS system to track maintenance action items.
  • Evaluate and review maintenance procedures.
  • Implement/monitor condition-based monitoring program.
  • Create Metrics and standard practices for the maintenance organization.
  • Develop Asset tracking, rebuild replace strategy for critical equipment.
  • Follows company safety and health guidelines and other company policies


Travel Requirements:

  • Negligible.


Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

  • Standard business hours; Monday – Friday.


Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology required.


Required Years and Area of Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing and Maintenance within an environment performing the maintenance, repair and upkeep of industrial machines and/or equipment.


Required Skills:

  • Strong Computer Skills (CMMC System Expert).
  • Experience with maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Data analysis skills.
  • Decision-making based on data.


Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

  • Process excellence (Six Sigma) Green Belt or higher.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Capable of leading small process development / improvement projects.
  • TPM experience.

  • Strong work ethic, able to work independently and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Personal initiative, self-starter and dedication to make a difference.
