Scope of Position:

This role directly supports core Project Management Office (PMO) processes including reporting, risks and issues identification and tracking, financial management, resource utilization, and change management. Work closely with PMO Manager to support and coordinate demand management process for Emerging Technologies. This position will be responsible for administrative functions of the PMO including document management, tool administration and ensuring quality and accuracy of information. The individual will assist leaders with facilitating and coordinating various portfolio activities including scheduling, analysis, and tracking.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Produce regular and ad hoc presentations and reports to support PMO and its related activities
  • Prepares operational metrics, dashboards, and communications
  • Collaborate between PMO and various departments within Emerging Technologies and/or Corning
  • Create and manage contractor labor requisitions and extensions, reconcile them across various systems
  • Coordinate and track contract procurement activities and provide associated reporting
  • Assist with analysis of resource utilization across the portfolio and identify areas of under/over-allocation
  • Timely communicate issues or variances to the PMO Manager
  • Navigates problems and challenging stakeholders, while documenting and communicating the issues and risks
  • Perform financial, project and labor analysis and reporting to facilitate decision making process
  • Embrace new technologies and work with various tools and systems
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned



  • Associates Degree or HS degree and equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience working in a formal PMO or a similar structure
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience coordinating and managing tasks and/or activities to completion
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn various systems used to support PMO functions
  • Willingness and ability to learn and grow and rapidly, develop new skillsets
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365/MS Office required
