Software developer for Laser Processing Tools (m/f/d)

 

In this function you can anticipate an interesting, challenging and versatile field of activity. You will be strengthening our software development in an innovative and international group environment with interdisciplinary collaboration among various international customers and divisions.

 

Innovative and challenging - your tasks are demanding:

- You will be part of an agile SW development team and will supervise individual tasks as well as entire SW components. You will be involved in the entire software development cycle, ranging from specification and implementation to release and bug fixing.

- The SW team supports the following SW components, among others: HMI (Human-Machine-Interface), CAD/CAM project planning, laser control, scanner connection, database, image processing, creation of system images, MES/CIM, support for the PLC platform, scripting.

- You will actively contribute with innovative ideas and improvements and thus be responsible for shaping the future viability of our software platform.

 

Professionally and personally - your qualifications are convincing:

- Degree, preferably in engineering or computer science

- (Professional) experience and enthusiasm for agile working methods and techniques

- Interest in mechanical engineering and desire to actively participate in software development

- Sound knowledge of objective-oriented programming in C# and/or C++

- High degree of independence, communication skills, ability to work in a team and willingness to travel

- High resilience, also in dynamic situations

- High quality awareness and great diligence

- Willingness to familiarize yourself with new tasks and techniques

- Very high proficiency in German and English

 

Desirable knowledge and experience in/with:

- automated testing, continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD)

- several high-level languages (C++/C#, Python, etc.)

- creating user interfaces, preferably with WPF

- databases, preferably mySQL

- OPC-UA/UMATI

- creating images for Windows based machines

- image processing and the use of corresponding libraries (e.g. Halcon)

- the development of PLC systems (TwinCAT/CoDeSys)
