Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Production Planner

  2. Major responsibilities were applicable
    1. Analyzes customer order requirements and production capacity to create and release production orders to satisfy customer shipping requirements.
    2. Execute MRP messages to ensure internal and external supply is aligned to sales/forecast.
    3. Monitors inventory levels and execute strategies to optimize inventory and customer satisfaction.
    4. Communicate with PLM/Demand Planners on product related issues.
    5. Evaluate and provide feedback on PPC’s and TPC’s.
    6. Interface with corporate customer service representatives (CSR’s) on an going basis.
    7. Communicates issues/concerns related to schedule changes caused by design problems, capacity limitations or material shortages to appropriate levels within the organization.
    8. Established and maintains communication with internal suppliers and buyers to improve lead times, and other issues pertaining to raw materials.
    9. Provides feedback on accuracy of lead times, safety stock levels, and other data in SAP for both components and finish goods.
    10. Coordinates production activities with manufacturing to develop stock quantities to satisfy customer orders.  
    11. Attend & participate daily production meetings., as well as other meetings related to production lines.
    12. Other tasks as assigned by Planning Supervisor.

 

 3. Qualifications    

 A. Education level.

  •  Bachelor’s Degree.          

       B. Years of Experience.

  • Minimum 3 years planning experience.

 C. Technical Skills.

  • Experience with SAP systems or equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Analytical problem solving skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

    A. Contribute and participate in Internal and External Audits related to materials department - ISO, TL, 5's, Safety, Sarbox, among others
