Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):
The successful candidate will work on cross-organizational projects and collaborate with solutions architects, developers and project team leaders to apply and implement S&T’s security framework. The role will also:
• Provide operational support for daily data loss prevention monitoring and analysis.
• Support information security programs and activities for S&T division; including global information security initiatives.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Provide operational support for RD&E applications that are used by the scientific and engineering community.
• Develop and document requirements, design and technical specifications for customer projects.
• Significant internal customer interaction; highly technical scientists, engineers, technicians, and project teams.
• Provide coverage for DLP monitoring and other analytical activities as needed.
• Leverage multiple communication methods to engage workforce understanding of information security procedures and provide support as needed.
Travel Requirements (please note if international):
• Possible travel (domestic and international) for training and auditing purposes (<10%).
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: • 40+ (possible work outside of normal business hours due to collaboration with international locations, incident response, analysis and resolution).
Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration)
• Bachelor’s degree (technical): cybersecurity/ computer engineering / computer science preferred.
• 2-4 years work experience in cyber security or information security or other related information technology.
• Citizenship status must allow exposure to US export controlled technical data.

• Analytical mindset; data analysis experience.
• Ability to multitask and deal calmly with multiple priorities.
• Experience in following a structured software development process.
• Experience with C# (C sharp) and Python coding.
• Background in data concepts, methodologies, best practices, architecture, design etc.
• Able to communicate to different audiences, including business leadership, IT, engineering, laboratory and scientific roles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Ability to be discrete while handling proprietary and personal data.
• Experience with web-based tools and interfaces.

• Knowledge of Corning businesses preferred.
