Position Title: Purchase to Pay Specialist (m/f/d)

Location: Corning Avon SG/Siege. This position is office-based.


Position Description (Role purpose and day-to-day responsibilities):

The primarily responsibility is to support the French sites using Tradeshift and to be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Purchasing and Invoicing. This includes:

  • Root cause issue resolution
  • Primary point of contact to enter requisitions for infrequent requisitioners and
  • Lead Project and Operations communications to Tradeshift users, including improvements and enhancements.


The SME portion of the role requires engaging with site Users to identify opportunities for improvements and issue resolution. This could include providing technical coaching (for purchasing and payment) as well as conducting training sessions for both power and regular users. The SME will also give guidance to plant personnel on the supplier onboarding process as well as guiding Suppliers needing additional support.

As such, the person in this role will work with Tradeshift as well as the escalate issues and support requests to the S2P and Shared Services teams. Communications involves managing change through newsletters, targeted e-mails, and meetings. Communications also includes managing user sites such as our business partners on where they can find guidance in 3 clicks or less, identifying, and prioritizing improvements to training materials. This role will help lead the bi-monthly Update meetings with all French sites.


Position Scope (Breadth of work required by the job): May include, but not limited to: SME

  • Provide guidance and updates for FAQs and first level support team
  • Ongoing responsibility to improve quality of training and reference materials based on experience
  • Hold coaching sessions for Users and regular users as needed
  • Identify break/ fix issues, improvements and enhancements and escalate to the S2P Tools and Processes team Tradeshift testing for new implementations
  • Understand and communicate interfaces with Peoplesoft written and verbal communications
  • Gather feedback and recommend usability improvements for Tradeshift communications and training Sharepoint site
  • Coordinate and hold informational meetings as required in advance of new implementations and notable changes.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience Hours of Work / Work Schedule / Flexible working hours


Required Skills:

  • Fluent English and French mandatory, German highly desired
  • Experience in purchasing, coordinating purchases, RTM managing invoices
  • Experience in financial transactions, SAP and buying/procurement
  • Quick Learner with digital tools and processes
  • Understanding of financial concepts
  • Written and verbal skills to facilitate communications and training
  • Enthusiasm and a “can do”-spirit


Desired Skills:

  • Experience managing transactions
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft
  • Knowledge of Tradeshift / P2P platforms
  • Curriculum development
  • Sharepoint – ability to maintain and update
