Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Position Description:
The Mfg. Performance Analyst position is designed to support emerging business’ needs for global mfg. productivity improvement/benchmarking and forecast accuracy to ensure reliable supply at lowest total cost.

  • Quarterly/Black Book/Green Book cycles
    • Lead/support periodic financial cycles by facilitating metrics forecasts/target review process
    • Engage primary owners from Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, QA, Development to continuously align and improve forecast methodology and accuracy
    • Coordinate/interface with supply chain and finance functions for on-time completion of Quarterly/ cycles
    • Continuous process improvement to ensure process efficiency and data integrity
  • Metrics data analyses
    • Metrics performance comparison analysis among mfg. locations
    • Audit annual budget/forecast vs. actual to ensure data accuracy and integrity
    • Update/validate key metrics and their impact on output/unit cost
    • Support the Mfg/Eng/Supply strategy teams to develop long-term plans and strategy based on analyses


Education & Experience

  •        Education
    • Bachelor degree and above. Major in engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain, mathematics, statistical or other related discipline
    • MBA degree and engineering background is preferred

      Experience

    • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience
    • Experience in data analytics, modeling, manufacturing/operations, engineering
    • Experience in cross-functional teams/projects

    • Highly proficient in English presentations, reports, meeting facilitation
    • Familiarity with cost analysis, business case, and assumption based modeling
    • In-depth knowledge of Display mfg. process and technology
    • Experience to work with commercial, manufacturing, engineering and finance organizations
  •  Soft Skills
    • Comfortable to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
    • Excellent cross-functional/executive communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Ability to work under high time pressure
