Account Manager, Google

 

Corning is seeking a Sales Professional In-Building Networks and Datacenters for UK South (m/f). Working with key accounts, including some large names such as Google, the position has a strong focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships to cross and upsell into an existing account.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maximize sales and margin for all assigned Corning Optical Communications’ products to the In-Building Networks & Datacenter market in allocated regions / to allocated customers.
  • Identify new customers and new opportunities, position and specify our solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with blue chip end users and develop long term account strategies.
  • Implement program strategies for key customers. Including positioning of the NPI (Network of Preferred Installers) network and LinkUp (Consultant) programs for assigned areas.
  • Coordinate the activities of internal groups & functions (Customer Service, Engineering Service, Corporate Communications, Legal and Financial Services) in meeting all customer needs.
  • Participate in nominated regional trade shows and conventions within your assigned territory to promote our products and support targeted distributors’ sales effort.
  • Establish and maintain sufficient product knowledge of our industry and products and their applications to recognize opportunities and communicate internally to achieve maximum advantage.
  • Travelling to customers and Corning sites in EMEA (mainly Germany, Poland and Amsterdam).

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Track record in sales / business development or account management

• Experience in using a CRM system would be beneficial
