Senior Demand Planner EMEA (m/f/d)
Role Purpose
- Lead Corning Life Science’s EMEA Demand Planning processes for assigned product lines and customer groups.
- Provides insights and guidance to Sales, Business Operations/Teams, Supply Chain, Product (Line) Managers, Manufacturing, Finance and Business Managers to facilitate and support accurate and timely Demand Planning decisions.
- Manages and enhances Supply Chain related reporting and KPI’s related to customer, cost and capability.
- Head multiple demand related reviews and initiatives, and leads diverse analysis in Excel, SAP IBP or other tooling for business improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct the optimal demand plan by utilizing statistical models, AI and market intelligence as well as any other input which can improve the demand plan.
- Carry out detail analysis to identify trends and apply appropriate models to improve the viability of the forecast.
- Lead collaboration with Sales, Channel, Business Operations, Customer Service and regional sites, incorporating gathered market intelligence into the EMEA demand plan.
- Convey any significant EMEA demand changes that can impact supply in the short/mid-term to Supply Planning, Supply Network Planning, and Production Planning.
- Analyzes forecast data to improve the accuracy and communication of the forecast accuracy, including bias to measure and drive forecast improvement.
Recurring Monthly and Ad Hoc responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with Product Managers, Sales and Channel in EMEA to develop an EMEA Demand consensus.
- Head the EMEA S&OP Demand Review, produce relevant supporting reports and conduct other reviews with cross-functional commercial teams (Sales, Channel, Business Operations, etc.) to establish consensus and agreement on the EMEA Demand Plan.
- Work with external dealers and/or (end) customers to integrate the demand planning process, improving forecasting capabilities from manufacturing to end consumers
- Besides the 3-year outlook in SAP IBP Demand Planning, collaborate with various functions on long-term demand planning up to 10 years and/or beyond if necessary.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor or Master in the field of Supply Chain, Industrial, Business, Planning or equivalent.
- +5 years of work experience in a respective field.
- Deep knowledge about S&OP and Planning processes and ability to link interacting processes relating to Supply Chain, Commercial and other Business processes. (e.g. demand planning, supply planning, production planning, inventory management, logistics, product management, sales, marketing, finance, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and able to convert big amounts of unstructured, incomplete, and complex data into meaningful insights and visualizations to support business decisions.
- Profound in mathematics and statistics. Ability to quickly understand and gather deep knowledge on complex statistics and artificial intelligence.
- Outstanding excel knowledge and willingness to teach and elevate others to become excel champions.
- English on a fluent/proficient base (verbal and written), Dutch language skills are a plus.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience in the Life Sciences sector.
- Experience within a multicultural matrix organization.
- Knowledge of SalesForce.com, SAP IBP or ERP systems like SAP and Oracle Peoplesoft.
