Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build SAP technology solutions that transform Corning’s Supply Chain functions and solve Supply Chain issues in conjunction with SAP and Non-SAP ERP’s.
  • Design, set-up, and test prototype and production Supply Chain solutions and ensure that all the pieces work together seamlessly
  • Work with the Corning’s IBP DevOps project team, Businesses, Business Engagement, Service Line Owner, to create stand-out supply chain offerings powered by SAP
  • Understand Supply chain problems in the areas of Planning and propose end state architecture in SAP IBP
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and gain the trust of key advisors
  • Make the business case for the SAP technology solution recommended to the client
  • Pitch in on sales efforts when needed
  • Continue to learn and develop your technical SAP and business expertise 
  • Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 15% depending on business need and requirements

Experiences/Education - Required

    • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Solution Design, end-to-end architecting with SAP IBP, ECC and S/4
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading solution design activities for IBP projects
    • Experience/background in designing and managing supply chain processes.
    • Team player who is able to adapt and work with multi-cultural teams
    • Self-motivated leader in the area of Digital Supply chain and trends
    • Experience monitoring projects and managing course corrections as needed.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate’s Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Proven track record in SAP IBP implementation in the areas of Demand, Supply and Inventory
  • Well versed with CI-DS integration and other RTI integration concepts
  • Ability to work with multiple ERP teams and support US time zone work hours
  • Ability to articulate complex Supply chain process into solution proposals and gain consensus.
