Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Job Family Description:
The IT SAP S4 Analyst will be responsible for support of enterprise-class applications. Systems for development include SAP S/4 Private Instance.

Position Description:

In this role you will work as an operation support specialist in new Global S4 HANA team being created in strategic ERP Transformation Organization. You will work in international company with great history having many divisions and subsidiaries all over the world. You can become part of great journey together with us to company optimized and growing with benefits of SAP S/4 HANA application working in private cloud. You will work with colleagues from different regions, lead meetings, and take responsibility for the SAP RTP(Request to Pay) / OTC (Order to Cash) workstream with focus on NAFTA area.

 

Experience in one of more of the following is highly desirable:

  • RTP/R2P stream - Ability to demonstrate S/4 HANA processes in Requisition to Pay.
  • OTC/O2C stream - Ability to demonstrate S/4 HANA processes in Order to Cash.
  • Experience in MM and/or SD implementation & customizing.
  • Experience in dealing with key integration areas procurement, finance, supply chain and warehouse management.
  • Experience in S4 Conversion, workflow, interfaces, and EDI.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Able to perform under pressure during times like a system down situation.
  • Ability to work across multiple teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Conduct working sessions with business users as required.
  • Able to work with Basis team during troubleshooting providing guidance when required.
  • The ability to research and apply OSS notes as required to resolve issues. 
  • Will need to become proficient in working within our ticketing system – ServiceNow.
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to manage work with minimal supervision able to work independently following Corning established coding guidelines.
  • Will work with operations team in support break/fix activities as well as assignment.
  • Will be in an on-call rotation supporting team / organization expected to meet SLA commitments defined by IT and agreed upon by the organization.
  • Analyze software requirements to determine design feasibility.
  • Develop software systems, including programming, documentation, and testing procedures.

 

Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4.
  • Proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
  • Excellent communication and written skills to aid in RICEF creation and design document creation.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP best practices.

      1. Vendor Master Data management/standardization - best practice.
      2. Vendor Master Data cleanse - best practice.
      3. Vendor Master/Customer Master offsetting - best practice and ability to demo in S/4 Hana preferable.
  • Order to Cash (OTC) – Ability to demonstrate S/4 HANA Processes for Order to Cash

  • Experienced SAP S4 HANA RTP/R2P/Requisition to Pay and/or OTC/Order to Cash Lead Consultant to work on Identify and resolve complex technical issues within our customer service-level agreements.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in other SAP modules.
  • Development experience (ABAP is a strong plus).
  • Fiori, Adobe Forms, and Workflow experience.
  • Proficiency in debugging complex programs.
  • ServiceNow experience.

 

Soft Skills:

  • Good teamwork, written and oral communication in English and customer service skills.
  • Needs to be a self-starter with strong analytical thinking skills, able to work independently.
