Role Purpose:
Ensure effective application and control of the trade certifications to minimize duty and tax impact on imported materials and finished goods, contributing to significant cost savings and compliance with international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply USMCA regulations to imported components and the qualification of finished goods.
- Manage and maintain USMCA certifications and related documentation.
- Analyze bills of materials and sourcing information to determine USMCA eligibility.
- Monitor and report KPIs related to USMCA compliance and duty optimization.
- Support audits and internal reviews by ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
- Collaborate with Customs, Supply Chain, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to maximize duty savings.
- Identify additional opportunities for duty optimization through other trade programs and certifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Student in the final semesters of a bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, Customs, Foreign Trade Management, or a related field.
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of customs compliance and duty optimization strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with KPIs and performance metrics.
- Teamwork, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
