Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

Coordinate and monitor the security of the Corning Cable Optical Communications Campus plants in Apodaca.

 

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor all security systems located in the Plant’s Security Operations Center, including:

  • CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television)
  • Access Control (Lenel)
  • Alarm Responses
  • Remote Monitoring
  • Visitors and Contractors
  • Compliance with C-TPAT regulations
  • Gates and entrances throughout the building
  • Social media monitoring
  • Labor activism monitoring
  • Support in investigations
  • Control of building door keys
  • Documentation of daily GS activities
  • Timely communication of incidents to management
  • Handling high call volume at the monitoring center

Maintain continuous surveillance of the external environment to detect indicators and threats.

Coordinate risk situations and emergencies.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Associates Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Moderate job content knowledge

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Successful track record of performance in chosen field
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience
