Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 Role Purpose

Ensure the optimal configuration and customization of the supply planning system, enabling flexibility and agility in planning processes. The Supply Chain Solutions Super User will act as a key liaison between the supply chain business teams and the IT department, providing advanced system support, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that the planning system aligns with evolving business needs to deliver value.

Key Responsibilities

Customize system fields, workflows, and parameters to meet evolving business needs.Collaborate with supply chain business teams to implement custom reports, dashboards, and system views for better visibility and decision-making within advanced supply chain systems.Track system usability metrics, perform root cause analysis and propose solutions to ensure system continues to deliver value.Maintain and configure master data to reflect real-time operational changes.Work closely with SMEs & IT to ensure that system changes align with overall architecture and security policies.Monitor system performance and proactively suggest optimizations to improve system response times, accuracy, or planning efficiency.Identify opportunities for automation within the system and collaborate with IT to implement these improvements.Support patches, upgrades, and integrations with other enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, MES, WMS, Data Lake).Collaborate with business SMEs to ensure changes align with global standards and share best practices globally.Serve as the bridge between business users and IT, translating business needs into technical requirements.

Experiences/Education - Required

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field1-3 years of experience in supply chain planning, procurement or system support roles in manufacturing or logisticsStrong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and user storiesExperience in programming or scripting for system customization (e.g., Python, VBA, JavaScript, or similar).Understanding of prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and leveraging Machine Learning models (e.g., Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs) to automate tasks and enhance system configurations.Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools.Basic knowledge of workflows and parameters in advanced supply planning systems (e.g., 09, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP IBP, OMP).Basic understanding of ERP systems like SAP ECC & S/4 Hana or similar.

Experiences/Education - Desired 

Proficiency in using APIs for data exchange.Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies.Understanding of data governance for supply chain systems.
