Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maximise sales and margin for all assigned Corning Optical Communications’ LAN & Data Center products to the Enterprise Networks market in allocated regions / to allocated customers – with focus on understanding and growing Datacentre / Passive Optical LAN business
  • Identify new customers and new opportunities, positioning and specifying Corning solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with blue chip end users and develop long term account strategies
  • Implement program strategies for key customers ensuring these include the effective implementation of the NPI and LinkUp programs for assigned areas
  • Assist and recommend channels in the region including the development of sales and marketing plans • Establish and maintain sufficient product knowledge of Corning Optical Communications’ products and their applications to recognise opportunities and communicate internally to achieve maximum advantage
  • Working closely with Corning Optical Communications’ staff support functions (Customer Services, Engineering Services, Corporate Communications) in order to meet customer needs
  • Participate in nominated regional trade shows and conventions in the territory to promote Corning Optical Communications’ products and support targeted distributors’ sales effort
  • As a representative of Corning Optical Communications convey the highest level of professionalism in behaviour and appearance, uphold Corning values and help fulfill all customer expectations of Corning as a world class supplier

 

Requirements:

  • BAC +3 to BAC + 5 or proficient work experience
  • Several years of experience in selling technical products, ideally data centres or telecommunication products within France
  • Must be a ‘self starter’ and possess strong initiative, resilience, organisation and time management skills
  • Native French speaker, English is a must (fluent)
  • Proficient in Power Point (writing presentations and presenting)
  • Structured and experience of using a CRM would be beneficial
