Purpose of Position:

Manages, retains, and penetrates one or more account(s) in a manner that meets the business needs of key customer(s), differentiates Corning within the marketplace, and supports the achievement of the division’s sales and profit objectives. The responsibility includes guidance and development of report(s).

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manages, retains, and penetrates accounts in the Industry market (Food & Beverage, CRO, environment…) that meets the business needs of key customers,
  • Differentiates Corning within the marketplace, and supports the achievement of the division’s sales and profit objectives.
  • Builds and executes account plans that provide the customers with a full integrated set of products, processes, services, and technical solutions which draw on Corning’s total value proposition to meet specific business needs. Focus on Key accounts.
  • Maintains frequent and regular contact with the customer to identify, build and strengthen the relationship, continually assess Corning’s effectiveness in meeting the customer’s needs, and ultimately maximize account penetration and customer retention.
  • Serves as an advocate for both Corning and the customer by creating value for both parties and balancing the needs and constraints of both parties
  • Collaborates with Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Product Line Management, and other functions to negotiate favorable agreements with customers.
  • Manages, engages and motivates distribution network on the field to promote Corning brand


  • Preferably a scientific background (Masters, Engineers) by experience in Microbiology, Biology)
  • Good working knowledge/understanding of the Microbiology market
  • 5 years experience in Life Sciences or Microbiology industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Location is home based, ideally in France area, close to an airport/railways station
  • Distribution management experience or distribution experience
  • Ability to travel over 50% of time
  • Use of sales management tools : SFDC, Power BI, Excel.
