Corning Optical Communications’ passion is innovation and leading technical solutions have been created for Data Center applications which are a growing part of Corning’s Enterprise Networks business in France. The company offers the broadest range of end-to-end fiber optic and copper product solutions for customers' telecommunications networks. Our customer-focused solutions include cables, connectors, and related hardware, and network services that include network design, project management and training programs.

In order to widen our market access in targeted vertical market segments we are looking for a fully dedicated and experienced Data Center Sales Manager.

The success of this position will not only depend on the individual strength and expertise, but also on the cooperation with the regional France sales team and the other key functions of the company like Marketing, Product Line Management, Customer Care and Operations.

This role will report to the Director of Sales France Region, Enterprise Networks EMEA.


We are currently looking for a

 

Data Center Sales Manager France (m/f/d)

 

                                                                                                        
Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize sales and margin for all assigned Corning Optical Communications’ Data Center products to the Enterprise Networks market in allocated regions / to allocated customers. A special focus will be on developing the MTDC (Multi-Tenant Data Center) market segment for Corning.
  • Identify new customers and new opportunities, positioning and specifying Corning Data Center solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with blue chip end users and develop long term account strategies
  • Establish and maintain sufficient product knowledge of Corning Optical Communications’ Data Center products and their applications to recognize opportunities and communicate internally to achieve maximum advantage
  • Work in partnership with regional sales team to drive business.
  • Work with Marketing and Business Development teams to launch sales initiatives to increase pipeline.
  • Work closely with Corning Optical Communications’ staff support functions (Customer Services, Engineering Services, Corporate Communications) in order to meet customer needs
  • Work with Channel partners in France on Data Center opportunities
  • Demonstrate solution-selling approach and executive relevance with ability to position complex solutions at senior IT and CxO level
  • Demonstrate influence over Customer's & Partner’s strategy/behavior.
  • Demonstrate clear awareness of the Data Center market pressures & trends and transitions.
  • Understand and articulate Corning’s vision, strategy and architectural approach to Data Center
  • Participate in nominated regional trade shows and conventions in the territory to promote Corning Optical Communications’ Data Center products and support targeted distributors’ sales effort

 

Requirements:

  • Technical university degree or proficient equivalent work experience
  • Several years of experience in selling technical products, ideally Data Centers or telecommunication products within France
  • Proven track record in leading and winning major DC business.
  • Experienced in multi-level selling and comfortable in influencing CxOs, Data Center Managers, IT Managers, etc.
  • Must be a ‘self starter’ and possess strong initiative, resilience, organization and time management skills
  • Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as good listening and strong presentation skills
  • Experience of using a CRM would be beneficial
  • Native French speaker, English is a must (fluent)
