Active in most of the Group’s businesses for over 50 years, the Corning European Technology Center, based in Fontainebleau-Avon, France, provides expertise in research, development, and engineering.

 

Within the Process Research, Development & Engineering organization at our Fontainebleau site, we are looking for a Measurement & Controls Engineer (M/F) for a permanent position.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of national projects, your role will be to define, develop, and validate measurement and control solutions for existing or newly designed equipment and metrology test benches. These projects are based both at the Corning European Technology Center (CETC) in Avon and at our AO Specialty Glass manufacturing plant in Bagneaux-sur-Loing. In the future, they may also be extended to other European sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining specifications for Measurement & Control systems, in collaboration with researchers and process engineers.

  • Designing, developing, and integrating metrology equipment and test benches, whether existing or newly developed, with a focus on flexibility, reliability, and performance.

  • Adapting and upgrading measurement equipment and systems in line with changes and evolving priorities in our R&D projects.

  • More broadly, providing technical expertise to Process teams on topics related to process control and metrology.

PROFILE

We are looking for candidates with a general engineering degree specializing in automation and electrical engineering, combined with several years of industrial experience, ideally in instrumentation or special-purpose machine control systems.

•Industrial automation and control systems, motion control, robotics, advanced process control, and servo systems.
