Role Purpose:

• SME of CDT analytics and reporting requirements collection, analysis, review and prioritization with functional stakeholders.

      o Systems covered include: ERP (SAP, PeopleSoft), MES, Logistics & Procurement, Planning, Production Performance Tracking, and Quality.

• Business SME, working closely with IT, to drive effectiveness in the overall division data warehouse strategy and use of analytics and reporting tools

• Manage projects / programs and initiatives, working cross functionally within the business and with IT/external suppliers to deliver required capabilities

• Leverage Corning corporate & regional capabilities, initiatives, and expertise to enhance CDT analytics, business intelligence and reporting capabilities

• Work closely with IT to bring best practices into CDT data analytics, business intelligence and reporting applications

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver analytics capabilities and reports through direct project leadership and engagement with functional customers, leveraging IT or external capabilities.

• Support function led projects in related areas to enable success

• Develop the analytics and reporting strategy, gaining alignment across the division and Corporate strategies

• Develop and maintain metrics around reporting and advanced analytics usage and impact.

• Provide advice, and work with IT from the business perspective to improve architecture performance

• Process and system alignment and integration across functions: commercial, supply chain, quality, logistics, procurement and manufacturing

• Evaluate advanced analytics and reporting tools and drive utilization and standardization in alignment with IT

Performance Metrics:

• Utilization of preferred/modern reporting and analytics tools

• Enabling data access and analysis with less time required by the user Desired Competencies (knowledge, skills and behaviors):

• Strong business acumen

• Analytics knowledge on AI, machine learning, algorithm development, business intelligence techniques

• SAP system and process knowledge

• Skills and experience in end-to-end supply chain (Plan, Source, Make, and Deliver) or Development and Engineering, or Finance

• Change management experience across different functions

• Strong knowledge around databases, extract and load processes, and reporting and analytics tools

Experience/Education:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree (Technical, Business, or IT)

• 8+ years analytics and data analysis experience

• Global work experience, working across regions and cultures.

• Experience leading global teams, including matrix assignments

Desired

• Master’s in Statistics, Data Science, Business or Supply Chain Management / Computer Science.

• Business Analysis Certification • Supply Chain / Logistics Certification and experience

• LEAN or Six Sigma Certification or equivalent experience

• Experience across multiple businesses, division and/or technologies.

• Familiar with Data Analytics related tools, such as Power BI, SAS…etc.
