Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

  • Key Responsibilities: Lead the China Display Commercial Technology group to enhance the technical engagement with customers and value chain players
    • Solve customer complex technical issues through fundamental understanding
    • Lead/support division programs for product differentiation and/or cost reduction
    • Enhance understanding of industry and customer product/technology roadmap, and assess threats/opportunities
    • Explore new opportunities (new products, existing product with modifications, technical services) through deep value chain/customer engagement
  • Key Capabilities:
    • Strong technical / analytical skills
      • Deep technical knowledge of display LCD, OLED and other leading display technologies is desired
      • Ability to envision technical market trends and build appropriate roadmaps
      • Well organized and systematic approach to problem solving
    • Ability to influence customers through compelling technical and business justifications.
    • Ability to gain customers’, especially R&D groups’ trust to share roadmap and technology development.
    • Ability to set actions and follow through with a sense of urgency
    • Ability to interact effectively with customers and internal groups (AT, technical SMEs) to resolve organizational conflicts and drive action towards resolution
