Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Establish goals and objectives in conjunction with Group Leader and manage the engineering activities in electrical and control system to achieve the said objectives.
  • Responsible for waste gas treatment system and air compressor operation.
  • Support operations personnel via trouble shooting and provide training as needed.
  • Develop SOS / SOP document.
  • Responsible for the trouble shooting and PM planning, monitor and audit the maintenance quality and PM implementation.
  • To implement PM/PDM activities and achieve maintenance performance.
  • Identification, analysis and improvement of machine breakdown.
  • Assures safety of operators and equipment and complies with safety and environmental regulations.

Education Skill& Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master degree, major of mechanical, automotive or aeronautical or manufacturing engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in Facility domain.
  • With working experience about waste gas treatment system and air compressor.
  • With mechanical operation experience repairing and/or installing equipment.
  • Experience using vibration measurement.

Required Skill:

  • Configure SOP and TSG document capability.
  • Familiar PM procedure/ methods / tools application (like Cooling water tower maintenance & heat exchanger cleaning).
  • Pump maintenance/pulley replacement practical skills/vibration analysis/laser centering knowledge.
  • Familiar equipment maintenance works, such as lubrication oil, tool selection, application understanding.
  • Basic system diagnostic capability to work out root cause and adjust back to normal.
  • Learn how to plan and execute regular preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and prevent unplanned downtime.
  • Master the basic methods of equipment fault diagnosis, including vibration analysis, acoustic detection, temperature detection, etc., to find out the root cause of the fault.
  • Determining the cause of mechanical defects or failures and making necessary repairs.
  • With Six Sigma, DMAIC projects and solve process problems is plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft office (Word / Excel / power point) .
  • With project management experience.
