- Purpose of the Position

• The purpose of this role is to drive the incremental growth of Cell & Gene Therapy, Bioproduction business.

• The person will serve as the customers’ primary technical point of contact and ensure their overall satisfaction with our Bioprocess, Cell & Gene Therapy, Media and Reagent products, Services, and Technical Support provided by Corning.

• The activities are mainly technical sales related such as technical seminar/workshop, develop technical materials, hands-on training, and developing new end users together with account managers.

• This role requires in-depth knowledge in Bioprocess, Cell & Gene Therapy, Media, and Reagent both from a technical perspective and market understanding.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Achieves Bioprocess, Cell & Gene therapy sales budget together with account managers

• Deliver Bioprocess, Cell & Gene therapy, Media & reagent DP and NP budget, while closely tracking KA opportunities.

• Responsible for technical support, technical seminars, workshops, and new product training for the Bioprocess, Cell & Gene therapy, Media, and Reagent products.

• Aligns the customer’s technical expectations with the division’s capabilities and plans, including specification management and the articulation of a clear business case to justify changes.

• Builds cross-functional network within the organization / in China and US / Business operations

• Negotiates and finalizes product specifications in a manner that balances the customer’s needs with the division’s product strategy, including its global product specification

• Analyzes the China Cell & Gene Therapy, Bioprocess market for articulating the needs of the region

• Establishes contact and develops relationships with appropriate resources within the technical societies and key accounts.

• Contributes extensively and in-depth in technical questions/answers via email/phone as well as direct visits

- Education and Experience 

• Master degree in Life Science or related degree (R&D/ industrial experience)

• In-depth knowledge of Bioprocess (mAb and recombinant protein, vaccine), Cell & Gene therapy

• > 8 years’ experience in a related field

- Required Skills

• Ability to delivery sales numbers in Bioprocess, Cell & Gene Therapy together with Account Managers

• Ability to meet/exceed Bioprocess, Cell and Gene therapy, Media, and reagent DP and NP budget

• Effectiveness of the technical seminar, workshop and supports to grow the business

• Efficacy of working relationship with professional/technical societies and accounts

• Establishment of key contact network in key account group

• Quality and punctuality of reporting and feedback

• Quality/effectiveness in responding to customers’ technical questions and technical complaints
