Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Must--To have clear understanding of the Main Power, the Emergency Power, and the Lightning Systems related to critical system within the Plant.
  • Must--To have working knowledge of the Power and Lightning Systems related to critical system within all Base Business locations.
  • Must--To support the critical system objectives of standardization and rigorous change control.
  • Must--To support and provide standard equipment lists for Division Facilities equipment management.
  • Must--To support the development and maintenance of thorough design documentation based on governing codes, design standards, and department procedures.
  • Must--To assist with the leadership of field support teams during the installation and checkout of new technology and designs.
  • Must--To ensure the inclusion of new designs into rebuild and new construction Appropriation Requests.
  • Must--To provide constructive support during the development of Emergency Response Drills.
  • H--To appropriate and manage necessary Contractor Controls resources to support critical system Controls objectives.
  • H--To ensure Electrical and Power System drawings are archived properly within the Division Facilities organization.
  • M--To assist in the development of critical system Training materials.

 

Education & Experience  

  • Must--Bachelor degree and above.
  • Must--Engineer – Electrical
  • Must--8+ Years working with HV and LV power system design or construction or operation.
  • H--Understand power system government standard.
  • H--Full experience for 110K and 10KV operation and maintenance.
  • H--Full experience for power system daily check & PM plan and execution management.
  • H--Full experience for generator system, ATS and diesel system. Include emergency power supply and recovery.
  • H--Design and make operation tickets and procedure.
  • H--Find potential risk in electrical construction or by daily operation data.
  • H--Previous International Assignment
