Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Make sure daily operation is under quality assurance system.
  • Manage quality issues and ensure effectively maintaining  product standards.
  • Analyze process capability & performance.
  • Lead internal quality improvement program.
  • Ensuring the implementation and effectiveness of improvement actions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the plant FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) system to drive for preventive actions for process and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with other quality teams to share quality improvement opportunities and best practices.
  • Conduct audits of quality systems to  ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to support the qualification of new production lines.
  • Lead DMAIC projects.
  • Other quality/department related tasks from supervisor.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor or above degree in Science or Engineering related.
  • 3 years’ experience of quality or process engineering.
  • Project initiative and management.

Required Skills

  • Problem solving with quality tools and good knowledge in 8D improvement.
  • Familiar with process FMEA.
  • Data analysis to identify key factors impact to process.
  • Good communication and coordination/driving skill for cross department cooperation.
  • Leadership of project for resources allocation and progress management.
  • Can work independently by self also work well within team.
  • Good Excel, Word, PPT skills.

Desired Skills

  • Strongly in Logical thinking and data oriented.
  • 6 sigma DMAIC.
  • Knowledge of engineering/automation.
  • Problem solving and decision skill.
