Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Support business strategy

Track tech-trend/plan (display, non-display) of key customers in China.

Track competitor movement, and offerings.

Participate industry conference, seminars to learn technology trend.


Seek new product/technology opportunities

Serve as key liaison between customer R&D and internal functions (commercial technology, RD&E, program team...)

Work closely with customers to turn their needs into actionable plans.

Work closely with technical engagement team, account team and other functional teams to confirm value proposition and evaluate business opportunities in terms of product, market, process capability.



Timely respond and manage customer’s request by leveraging internal resources.

Lead promotion of Corning's technology advantages and capabilities.


Assist program managers to develop joint programs Deliver Corning’s solution, conduct customer specification reviews. Facilitate internal/external communication, ensure project milestone, objective achieved.Resolve relevant issues (commercial, technical.)


Build solid R&D level relationship

Lead different level communication between customer R&D, and Corning internal functions, cultivate strong tech relationship with customers and drive internal alignment.

Clear understanding of customer organizations; establish strong connection with R&Ds.

Continually look for ways to increase customer satisfaction.


Education & Experience  

8+ years of working experience in display, electronic or semi-conductor industry; >1 year of R&D experience is a plus.

Bachelor/Master in semiconductor, electronics, chemistry, precision instruments, mechanical engineering, material sciences or glass science, optics, physics; Doctoral degree is a plus.

Experience in new product development, or project management, business development or evaluation of new technologies.

Working experience in global company.

Fluent in English, Chinese.


Desired Skills  

Sound knowledge for display technologies (LCD, OLED, QLED, MiniLED, MicroLED) and semi-conductor, sensors industry.

Extensive knowledge of customer’s manufacturing process, glass property and their interaction.

Business savvy.
