Purpose of the Position:

 

Technical Sales Engineer– Corning Advanced Flow Reactor Technology Co., Ltd.

 

With the growth of business, AFR is looking for sales elites to join to keep good management of AFR customer and achieve the sales goals for business, short-term and long-term for regional targets.

 

This role will be responsible for exploring sales contacts, leads in the region and creating more new sales opportunities and bring them to deal in the team work with Application Engineer, Reactor Engineer and commercial team.

 

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Work with regional distributors or coordinator in China mainland to develop the regional market and catch more sales opportunities;

 

  • Travel or host visitors independently to articulate the values, application benefits of Corning reactors to potential customers through presentation;

 

  • Work with application engineer to evaluate the feasibility of the projects provided by potential customers, and work as a coordinator among Corning and customers;

 

  • Seek the real needs of potential customers and provide proper Corning Reactor Technology proposal or technical solutions to customers so that to create sales opportunities;

 

  • Keep good relationship with existing clients for well knowing their plan and actions on flow chemistry from all level of the company and digging out more sales opportunities;

 

  • Work with application engineer to provide customer appropriate technical support at after sale stage.

 

  • Working closely with marketing team to prepare the exhibition, workshop, tradeshow and collecting the high potential leads to commercial team for following;

 

  • Work with application engineer/ reactor engineer to provide technical/commercial proposal to customer based on request from customer their real needs or quick feasibility test results;

 

  • Conduct other tasks assigned by the manager.

 

Project involved with:

  • Work with other technical sales engineer, sales manager, marketing colleagues, distributors;

 

  • Reactor engineering team in China and France;

 

  • Legal and IP department on the NDA and contract or other agreement negotiation;

 

  • Keep an eye on the delivery progress through contact with logistics colleagues;

 

Reporting Structure:

  • Reporting to Regional Commercial Manager

 

Education & Experience  

  • Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or Chemical engineering and technology background
  • Have a wide knowledge and experience in the Chemical process industry in the frame of high technical content products.
  • Has 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar job within an international company selling engineered equipment for chemical process industry or in plant engineering.
  • Has a strong motivation for the sales activities, self starter and interest in understanding technology and added value sales model.

 

Required Skills                                                

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English is must;

 

  • Efficient execution and good preparation for customer following;

 

  • Good skill in communication and presentation;

 

  • Support quick feasibility test in CRTC or on customer site;

 

  • Positive attitude;
