Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Develop and grow sales with direct accounts and channel partners to increase Corning’s footprint in Germany to support long-term, sustainable growth

• Develop and execute sales strategies and achieve individual revenue targets

• Responsible to manage the sales pipeline, provide respective forecast data and other reports

• Provide market intelligence and “voice of customer” input to other functional departments

• Support regional marketing and market-communication events

• Ensure adherence to Corning’s business processes and all other relevant policies and regulations

• Support the Sales Director DACH in all specifically assigned tasks and duties.

 

Requirements:

 

• Team player spirit with high level of integrity

• Hunting attitude, shown sales capabilities with proven track record

• Good presentation-, communication-, management- and negotiation skills

• Relationship-oriented and result-driven

• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment (home office)

• Should have a technical background, a telecommunication background is an advantage

• Solid technical- and business acumen with the ability to present and sell solutions in a business context

• “Hands-on” technical capabilities are an advantage

• Ability to interface with C-Level executives, management, and technical decision makers

• Should be bi-lingual (German / English), other languages are an advantage

• Ability to travel nationally / internationally (up to 40%)

• Strong demonstrable ability to work independently and deliver outputs without close supervision
