Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

We are looking for an AI Market Research Analyst to strengthen the research and knowledge foundation behind the AI agents used by the Business Intelligence team. This role focuses on building and organizing trusted external and internal research sources so AI tools can deliver accurate, relevant, and scalable insights.

You will work closely with Competitive Intelligence and Market Intelligence teams to capture their expertise, structure key knowledge, validate AI outputs, and improve how research is used across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and curate external research sources such as analyst reports, whitepapers, competitor materials, and data providers
  • Capture expert knowledge from internal stakeholders and translate it into reusable formats for AI systems
  • Organize and manage research materials so they are structured, searchable, and usable by AI agents
  • Guide AI Implementation Analysts on source priority, taxonomy, and domain logic
  • Review AI-generated outputs, identify gaps, and improve knowledge quality over time
  • Support broader BI teams with AI-enabled research and reusable best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a research-intensive field such as business, economics, market research, information science, engineering, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, investment research, or similar knowledge-based roles
  • Strong experience in evaluating external sources and judging credibility, bias, and relevance
  • Experience gathering knowledge from subject matter experts and documenting it in a reusable way
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for research, including prompt design and evaluating AI outputs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to RAG, taxonomy design, knowledge graphs, or AI/agent evaluation frameworks
  • Background in telecom, data center, optical networking, hyperscalers, semiconductors, or similar technical industries
  • Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Databricks, SQL
