Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

As a working student for IT Automations, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the IT Automation Analyst and the Technology Operations team to assist with the creation and implementation of IT automations. The student's role will primarily involve using the Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate to improve and streamline IT processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. You will assist in developing and implementing automations for IT processes using the Power Platform.
  2. You will collaborate with the Technology Operations team to understand their needs and translate them into automation solutions.
  3. You will document and present automation projects, including their impacts and benefits to the team.
  4. You will conduct testing and troubleshooting of automation processes.

 

Qualifications:

  1. You are enrolled at university, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. You have very good English skills (written and oral)
  3. You have a basic understanding of what the Power Platform is (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
  4. You have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  5. Your communication and teamwork skills are excellent.
  6. You are eager to learn and apply new technologies.
