Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design stable, reliable and effective databases
  • Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
  • Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
  • Gather user requirements and identify new features
  • Develop technical and training manuals
  • Provide data management support to users
  • Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols

 
Requirements:

  • Registered as a full time regular student in one of the following courses of studies: IT, Physics, Industrial Engineering (with focus on programming), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Mechatronics and others
  • VBA Coding for Access ( Excel and Word as a plus)
  • Good German Skills

 

General information:

  • You will be able to work up to 20 hours per week during your semester, and up to 40 hours per week during your semester break
