Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain contact/distributor information (Corning website)
  • Maintain and expand web content (Corning website)
  • Support in building/maintaining customer portals (Customer specific websites)
  • Maintain and clean-up image database (Website DAM)
  • Maintain and clean-up document database (Website DAM)
  • Assist translation projects (coordination of different stakeholders, review)
  • Maintain and clean-up product information in eCatalog (Hybris )
  • Assist upload of new products to eCatalog in teamwork with Marketing and PLM (Product Line Management)

 

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment at a University is mandatory
  • Preferred course of studies are in the field of Business Administration, IT or similar (Web/SEO knowledge is a plus)
  • Good organisational, communication and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and German (French would be a plus)
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, knowledge with Photoshop is a plus
  • Knowledge of AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) or Hybris (Product Information Management system) would be a plus
  • We value team work and good sense of humour

 

General information:

  • You will be able to work up to 20 hours per week during your lectures time, and up to 40 hours per week during your lectures free time
  • You will ideally stay with us for a longer period of time to support our international team
