Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Cycle Counts • Pricing Updates
• Storeroom Description Changes • Communications with Vendors • Financial Adjustments – Both Internal and back to Suppliers
• Manage and Identify Storeroom Locations and continually update layout for best operation
• Force Purchase Orders out to suppliers
• Expediting Report
• Manage Outside Vendors Relationships
• Work closely with all Storerooms & Shipping Employees • Reconciliation of inventory
• Manage annual physical inventory of the storeroom
• Reconcile match exceptions in PeopleSoft
• Coordinate inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments
• Track high priority and special handling inbound shipments and maintain dock monitors with current information for deliveries; while keeping customers appraised of status on these shipments
• Locate lost freight / parcels using SC Logic, various carrier dispatchers, carrier websites and communication with procurement
• Ensure a safe working environment that follows Corning standard operating procedures.
• Provide support to Big Flats dock for supplies, orphan freight and outbound freight via Transcon
• Assist and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with CPT logistics coordinator and supervisor
• Implement and optimize outbound and inbound logistics related procedures and processes
• Implement and update SOP documentation • Provide technical and subject matter leadership for Shipping, Receiving and Storeroom Associates
• Maintain SC Logic system with current customer addresses, carriers and special handling alerts
• Assist supervisor with onboarding of new employees
• Create purchase orders and credit card orders from outside vending services to support dock activity
• Complete weekly freight audit from Cass and redistribute incorrect charges from S&T account to the correct department; submit to finance for reversal from our account at the end of each month
• Assist in developing training program for employees
• Create work orders for trades and IT as needed to ensure problem free work area
• Daily leadership to provide 360° of outstanding customer services
• All other duties as requested by supervisor
Hours: • 1st shift 7am – 4pm, Monday – Friday, some overtime required
Education: • Associates Degree in any field of study
Qualifications:
• Organizational/planning skills
• Good communication skills
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office minimum)
Desired Skills:
• 1-3 years working in a facilities/plant/manufacturing environment
• Peoplesoft skills
• Ability to Direct People
• Hands-on Style Soft Skills:
• Good interpersonal skills – ability to work with personnel of all payrolls
