CSS Senior Manager, Process Strategy, OTC & RTP GPO
Overview of Process Strategy Organization:
The Process Strategy Group (“PSO group”) supports Corning’s global Finance function by providing the thought leadership to the strategic development, planning and execution of leading policies, processes, tools, and technologies for finance. Collectively, the “PSO group” is responsible for bringing subject matter expertise, strategy, and technology direction to the end-to-end processes in Finance, and cross-functionally where processes intersect with non-Finance functions and businesses. The group delivers value by driving strategic policy, process, and technology to further our mission to be a World-class Finance Function.
The Global Process owner for RTP & OTC is responsible for creating the vision, strategy, and roadmap execution for this global process area. This person will also be responsible for directly collaborating with key stakeholders within the broader Finance, CSS and the greater organization. This person must be open-minded, innovative and process oriented, and able to speak the business’ language needed to advance continuing transformation. It will be critical that the person also works well in a cross functional, enterprise process-oriented organization.
Scope of Position:
- Create and sustain the global cash flow strategy, roadmap, and action plan across end-to-end Requisition-to-Pay (RTP) and Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes.
- Work with fellow GPOs, Finance, IT, and business leaders to introduce tools, techniques, practices, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and analytics to further the performance of the end-to-end cash flow processes.
- Engage to identify process, data, AI, and technology improvement opportunities across RTP and OTC; including reporting and analytics, related financial processes, working capital optimization, and quality, cycle time, and cost-to-serve operating metrics.
- Lead RTP and OTC project portfolio management working with CSS Project Services including project sponsorship, initial chartering, budgeting, sponsor and executive committee reviews, stakeholder engagement, change management, and project closure.
- Partner with Finance, IT, and business leadership (up to the executive level) in a multi-national/multi-cultural environment to gain stakeholder alignment and present project status, findings, benefits realization, and results.
- Help shape and evolve the future-state digital and AI architecture for RTP and OTC, developing foundational knowledge and capability while partnering closely with IT and digital teams.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Research leading practices in the use of systems, tools, and processes to drive efficient and effective practices and build them into the processes and technology roadmap and provide leadership to their implementation and sustainability.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels of Finance, functions and business organizations to seek input on requirements and to socialize status/influence results
- Sponsor and promote a portfolio for RTP and OTC, coordinated across the other end-to-end portfolios, and the business priorities assuring alignment with Corp agenda.
- Document and manage risks throughout the project portfolio lifecycle.
- Refines and prioritizes tasks on the roadmap.
- Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis as needed to support business initiatives.
- Escalate issues as appropriate to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Ensure projects are delivered within timeline, budget and deliverables are met.
Travel Requirements: ~25% domestic/international travel possible.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, a degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
- +10 years of work experience.
- Experience with transformation work in finance including technology and system deployment.
- Experience in global cash flow strategy, roadmap, and action plan across end-to-end Requisition-to-Pay (RTP) and Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes.
- Experience in working with multiple groups and cross-functional teams in an international matrix organization.
