Corning is a world leader global manufacturing company having more than 30 000 employees worldwide. Now we are looking for a new colleague to the following position to support the EMEA Logistics team in logistics related functions: Global Trade Compliance Analyst

 

Purpose of the position:

As a corporate Trade Compliance Team member supports all trade compliance related functions for all Corning businesses

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the international Trade Compliance team
  • Coordination of TC projects for all Corning businesses
  • Participate on departmental and cross-functional teams focused on continuous process improvement
  • Participate in developing Corning TC programs like Audit and Trainings as part of Category Management
  • Automation/Improvement of post transactional customs auditing
  • Manage daily operational TC related tasks and support businesses with TC related questions
  • Reporting & Statistics (KPI) / Establish appropriate metrics, preparing relevant data for presentations
  • Develop Policy and Procedures to support global standardization as needed
  • Ability to develop process consistency across regions

 

Required Years and Area of Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Logistics or Foreign Trade
  • Strong project management skills 
  • With experience and knowledge in trade compliance and customs
  • Understanding the processes and dependencies between Logistics and Trade Compliance

 

Requirements:

  • Experience & Knowledge about customs clearance , laws and customs tariff classification
  • Understanding export control rules and Free Trade Agreements
  • Strong Microsoft Office and PC skills - Excel, PowerPoint is required
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong self-initiative with the ability to identify areas of improvement
  • Customer service mindset, knowledge sharing attitude and team spirit
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a global team
  • Willingness for limited business travels

 

Required Language:

  • Fluent in English; French or German would be a plus
