Human Resources Generalist
Role Purpose
The aim of the position is to own and continuously improve the full employee lifecycle for our Budapest Shared Services teams while partnering with EMEA and global stakeholders. You will drive data-informed, compliant, and employee-centric HR operations, streamline processes using digital tools (including Copilot), and build the breadth of experience to progress toward an experienced HR Generalist role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for assigned roles.
- Lead onboarding/orientation for employees and ensure seamless first-day experience.
- Maintain accurate employee records; prepare contracts, amendments, and certificates.
- Review payroll inputs and approvals; manage vendor and leasing/insurance partner interactions.
- Coordinate exit processes, including documentation, interviews, and systems updates.
- Co-create the annual training plan.
- Support internal communications.
- Coordinate talent reviews and performance management process.
- Ensure accurate HRIS setup and produce monthly and quarterly reports.
Responsibilities
- Deliver global HR metrics and ad hoc dashboards for leadership and enhance reporting quality.
- Supports compensation and benefit processes.
- Manage maternity/parental leaves and returns.
- Monitor labor law changes; update policies/handbooks; support leaders and employees with guidance.
- Coordinate work permits with external providers.
- Organize periodic medicals (vision, new joiner, return to work), flu vaccinations, and home-office exception requests.
- Global collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Partner across EMEA and global teams; contribute to process harmonization.
- Explore and pilot digital and AI/ML-enabled HR improvements where appropriate.
Requirements
- Higher education (bachelor’s degree) in HR, Economics, Law, or related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience within an international company or global/shared services environment.
- Fluent English and Hungarian (written and spoken).
- Advanced MS Office skills with deep proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivots, formulas) and PowerPoint.
- Strong reporting and data accuracy mindset.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS tools such as SuccessFactors, Workday, or similar systems.
- Proven comfort with AI/digital tools and an interest in applying machine learning concepts to HR reporting/processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills; excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering great employee experience with a global mindset.
- Office presence: typically, 5 days per week on-site, with flexibility as needed.
- Eligibility to work in Hungary.
