OTC Supply Chain Solutions Manager (m/f/d) 


Scope of position:

Corning’s Global Supply Management Supply Chain Solutions Service (SCS) provides standardization, governance and thought leadership for business processes across the supply chain and how they are executed in Corning’s global ERP system SAP S/4 HANA and other interfaced corporate tools. Order to Cash (OTC) commercial oriented processes in the SAP’s S/4 HANA platform are a key part of our supply chain scope.


In this role, SCS Manager for OTC bring SAP S/4 HANA OTC process expertise for deployment projects to translate business supply chain requirements into technical system solutions. They identify and recommend appropriate SAP S/4 HANA system settings and requirements necessary to realize the commercial process needs and validate these through rigorous testing. Last, but not least SCS Manager are documenting and delivering training and drives, as functional leaders, to a group of experienced users (Power users) in the business to build and maintain their proficiency in executing these processes as well and innovating them as their business models change.


A SCS Manager is also responsible for OTC process ownership, leading and owning global change management in PTP area and developing the documentation with best-in-class practices and recommendations. The SCS Manager acts as single point of contact (SPOC) for functional, requirements, improvements and issues resolution for regional Corning businesses and end users. Lastly, a SCS Manager documents and transfers commercial process knowledge and recommendations to power users/user responsible to execute the business process steps during and after SAP S4 Hana system deployments.



  • Own and deliver OTC subject matter expertise / stream leadership in SAP S4 Hana deployments. Represent OTC in other projects
  • Champion and promote use of standard commercial processes
  • Document business requirements not met by the platform’s capability. Assist business process owners to build a process innovation pipeline including in business cases when standards do not meet business requirements
  • Develop and document of OTC standard processes including best practices and recommendations
  • Delivery of OTC knowhow and trainings to end / Business users. Buildup of Business Power Users and OTC BPOs organization
  • Ongoing Process improvement work with stakeholders to identify opportunities in OTC process area. Leverage process mapping for as-is & to-be status build. Driving alignment on improvements roadmap and implementation execution
  • Actively contributes to the S/4 HANA Operational support organization as a OTC subject matter expert for questions and issued identified by a business


Required Skills:

  • 5 – 8 years working expertise in ERP system - SAP ECC / S4 Hana
  • Deep function business process expertise and understanding in commercial processes including:
    • Sales Quotations
    • Sales Order Processing (fulfilment from stock, 3rd parties, intercompany transfers, free of charge & customer returns)
    • Customer Consignment
    • Shipping execution
    • Billing (including down payment, periodic & milestone payments)
  • Functional knowledge on master data and available configuration settings to drive optimal customer outcomes including those in
    • Business Partners
    • Material Master
    • Pricing Procedures
    • Available-to-Promise evaluation
  • Communication skills (up / down and across org to Business)
  • Project and Change management experience
  • Problem solving, analytical skills, exceptional follow through
  • Initiative and effectively manage for self through a fast-paced environment


Desired Skills:

  • 3 – 6 years working expertise in ERP system - SAP S/4
  • Working experience with demand planning processes & tools
  • Awareness of commercial facing trade compliance requirements and the screening of sales documents for sanctioned parties, embargos, licensing requirements
  • Subject matter expertise in business Supply Chain Plan-to-Produce (PtP) and Demand Planning (DP)processes
  • Functional application of more advanced commercial processes/data/solutions in SAP S/4 HANA
    • Customer and Product Hierarchies
    • Configurable Materials
    • Advanced Available-to-Promise solutions
    • Credit Management
  • Awareness of the key performance indicators used to monitor the effectiveness of commercial operations (On Time Delivery in Full etc.)

  • BA / BS degree (ideally Business or Supply Chain) Travel Requirements (domestic and/or international)
  • Ability to work remotely and ability to travel to international locations for duration of up to 2 weeks at a time
  • Travel will constitute 15% of the role
