Corning’s office in Budapest, Hungary, is home to the group’s EMEA Shared Services hub and Global Supply Management team. The Budapest office is responsible for credit-to-cash, payroll, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report for all of Corning’s EMEA business operations. Globally, the office supports master data management, intercompany activities, purchase-order management, lease administration, and liquidity management.


Primary Responsibilities

• Leads Solutions & Transformation group in EMEA region including EAS, Digital Solutions (dotted line) and Project Delivery (solid line) groups. EAS, DSaaS and DAaR team members will get day to day direction from their respective Global leaders.

• Oversees Project Delivery team for EMEA region; ensuring resources are allocated appropriately and utilized effectively to meet project portfolio demand and efficient project delivery execution.

• Assignment of resources according to project demand and scope in a strategic and optimized manner; regularly and effectively communicates with team members and leadership on resourcing strategy

• Monitors current team’s skillset, identifies and regulates gaps in depth/breadth of knowledge, and appropriately anticipates and executes development plans to meet future skillset requirements

• Manages and develops teams, conducts goal setting, and performance appraisal processes to prioritize and align with overall company and function wide goals and objectives.

• Acts as a coach to team members during their assignments to projects to help develop their skills and impact on projects

• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the Solutions & Transformation group.

• Ensures on boarding full-time and contingent resources by developing and maintaining the on-boarding tool kit and providing on-boarding trainings.

• Establishes, maintains, and enforces standards within the team related to project engagement with stakeholders including expected communications and administrative requirements

• Works cross functionally to help removing barriers for successful project execution

• Assists with the development, management, and reporting of Key Performance Indicators for the Project Delivery group

• Leads the Projects Quality Audit process for Project Delivery group

• Implements performance management and rewards processes/ practices within the group to ensure performance results and retention of top performers (in collaboration and coordination with the solid line managers from EAS and Digital Solutions)

• Understands organization’s strategy and supports successful execution

• Champions Change Management and Process Excellence

• Develop, maintain and implement standard policies and procedures for the group continuous improvement


Other Responsibilities

• Resource planning and resource load balancing

• Regularly reporting of metrics including resource allocation and over-/under-utilization

• Effective in people selection and development of organizational resources

• Assists in the development of department budgets, schedules, and performance standards

Education :

• Bachelor’s degree required/ MBA preferred
