Overview/Scope of Position:

 

The Sr. Specialist, Supply Chain Security & Audit responsible for implementing and maintaining a robust supply chain security program in accordance with the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) requirements (or other global equivalents). This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain security principles, risk assessment, and compliance management to ensure the integrity and security of the company's international supply chain. The Specialist will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and government agencies to identify vulnerabilities, develop security protocols, and maintain compliance with CTPAT guidelines (or other global equivalents).

 

 

Purpose and Major Responsibilities of Position:

 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain security program aligned with CTPAT requirements (or other global equivalents ex. AEO, OEA).
  • Conduct risk assessments of supply chain processes and identify vulnerabilities and potential security gaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, and operations, to develop and implement security protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of supply chain security measures and make recommendations for enhancements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of internal and external supply chain partners to ensure compliance with CTPAT security criteria.
  • Coordinate with external partners, such as carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, to ensure their compliance with CTPAT requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply chain security activities and CTPAT certifications.
  • Stay updated on changes in CTPAT guidelines and other relevant supply chain security regulations.
  • Provide training and education to employees and supply chain partners on security procedures and best practices.
  • Responsible for updating the company SCS CTPAT profile, an annual supply chain security profile review ensuring official target datelines are met 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies and auditors during CTPAT certification and validation processes.

 

Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Trade Compliance and CTPAT experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with stakeholders, across functions, countries, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments
  • Ability to travel 10-15%
  • Demonstrate time management and prioritization skills.
