The Specialty Materials segment manufactures products that provide more than 150 material formulations for glass, glass ceramics and fluoride crystals to meet demand for unique customer needs. Consequently, this segment operates in a wide variety of commercial and industrial markets that include display optics and components, semiconductor optics components, aerospace and defense, astronomy, ophthalmic products, telecommunications components and cover glass that is optimized for portable display devices.

Scope of Role:

• Involves the planning, scheduling, and the overall monitoring of material movement through the production cycle.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• We assist in determining material requirement(s) from engineers and production schedule.
• Assists management in resolving problems concerning over shipments, shortages and engineering changes.
• Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
• Work closely supervised.
• Follows specific, detailed instructions.
• Task-related activities.
• Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, and other personnel in the section or group.
• May or may not have frequent external customer contacts

Education:

• We require a BS in Supply Chain, Business, or related major
