Position Description
The Planning Supervisor is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of all activities and support required for the delivery of products and services to our Business Partners, from materials/service acquisition through distribution and delivery.
Required Education & Experiences
- Bachelor’s Degree (Technical, Business or Supply Chain)
- Minimum 4 years in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing or product line management/forecasting role(s) or other related field.
- Experience with scheduling, planning and with Supply Chain Systems Software.

Preferred Education & Experience
- Master’s in Business or Supply Chain Management.
- Industry Certification - Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Production & Inventory Manager (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
- LEAN or Six Sigma Certification or equivalent experience
- Organized, process oriented, can utilize both systemic and creative approaches to problem solving. Able to effectively work with ambiguous information and manage change.
- Prior experience with SAP and SAP implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops manufacturing supply plans, capacity plans and inventory plans to support plant objectives.
- Serves as a SME of planning processes, inventory control, and systems, tools and applications that support the production planning process.
- Establishes inventory targets, safety stock levels, and order policies on manufactured products, using industry standard supply chain methods; monitors performance to targets.
- Manages timely inputs into monthly S&OP process from various contributors, ie Commercial, Engineering (plant and Division), and Operations
- Develops and utilizes capacity models to create tactical operating plans that drive manufacturing and supply chain execution
- Owns and manages supply allocation process
- Responsible for inventory management of manufactured products, to include identification of slow moving and obsolete product and support to disposition.
- Prepares capacity analyses in response to what-if demand scenario requests, interacting with operations, engineering, commercial and Division Manufacturing Strategy Manager.
- Oversees preparation and timely submission of cost proposals prepared by Planning team, and manages Plant data within Salesforce system.
- Oversees the New Product Introduction process; ensures cost post-mortem analyses are conducted on new products as needed
- Establishes manufacturing plans for annual budgets as well as providing inputs for expense, inventory and headcount requirements

The range for this position is $104,325.00 - $143,447.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
