Scope of Position:

Involves the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of all activities and support required for the delivery of products and services to our Business Partners, from materials/service acquisition through distribution and delivery. Establishes manufacturing supply plans, capacity plans and inventory plans to support plant objectives. Overall monitoring of material movement through the production cycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish supply plans and capacity requirements
  • Utilizes capacity models to create tactical operating plans that drive manufacturing and supply chain execution
  • Develops supply plans in accordance with established inventory targets, safety stock levels, and order policies, using industry standard supply chain methods; monitors performance to targets
  • Provides shipment commitments to customer orders and schedule change requests
  • Oversees progress of supply plan to committed orders, facilitates development and implementation of solutions and/or recovery plans to potential/actual schedule delays
  • Responsible for inventory management of manufactured products, to include identification of slow moving and obsolete product and support disposition actions
  • Prepares timely cost proposals in response to customer requests; participates in New Product Introduction process; performs cost post-mortem analyses on new products as needed
  • Provides input into weekly and monthly Financial reporting, ie revenue forecast for intercompany products (Wafers), Receipt to Stock (RTS) forecast on key product lines, status of committed orders as it relates to on-time shipment for revenue recognition
  • Assists with development of manufacturing plans for annual budgets
  • Provides inputs to annual standard cost setting process
  • Measures and reports key performance metrics
  • Committed to continual improvement of planning processes and planning system functionality to maximize operational efficiency
  • Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies
  • and procedures
  • Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify. Represents organization on specific projects.
  • Works under very general supervision. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
  • Primary contacts are with immediate supervisor and other team members, operations, engineers, and customer service.
  • Responsible for performance metrics: Delivery, Inventory, Quote Response Metrics

 

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Technical, Business or Supply Chain).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • US Citizenship Required*

Preferred Experience:

  • Successful track record of performance working in a manufacturing environment in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing or other related field
  • Experience with scheduling and planning
  • Experience with Supply Chain Systems Software
  • Experience in analytical role
  • Competent with IT tools
  • Organized, process oriented, can utilize both systemic and creative approaches to problem solving
  • Understands manufacturing environment and basic manufacturing principles
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities; act quickly and decisively
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications (high level)
  • Able to effectively work with ambiguous information
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service focused

 

Hours of work/work schedule:

  • 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, full time
  • Plant weekend safety team coverage (1-3 weekends per year)

The range for this position is  $68,583.00   -  $94,302.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
