Purpose of the Position:

1. Ensures client group has the right number and type of talent required to execute entity strategy and achieve desired business results

2. Ensures client group realizes required levels of employee productivity and performance excellence required to execute entity strategy and achieve desired business results

3. Ensures client group establishes and maintains a positive work environment and operates as “One Corning” in support of Corning’s Values

4. Assists in achieving or beating budgetary objectives in support of top quartile performance objectives while maintaining appropriate level of HR service delivery

5. Ensures client group has the professional level of internal administration and external interactions

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

HR Management

o Identifies and prioritizes current and future talent requirements of the client which could affect achievement of client group operational objectives

o Partners with client group to identify and implement targeted client group and individual development plans that address targeted talent gaps in a timely manner

o Effectively deploys performance management and rewards processes/practices within client group to drive required levels of employee accountability for desired performance results and ensure retention of top performers

o Holds client managers and leaders accountable for establishing and maintaining a positive work environment

o Collaborates closely with the Regional HR Managers in global to ensure that the type and level of services fully support achievement of entity business objectives

o Coaches client management in development and implementation of required programs and processes to establish and maintain a positive work environment

 

Admin Management

o Design and implement office/plant management policies, system and processes

o Lead administrative team to ensure a good housekeeping in terms of hygiene, safe, healthy, efficient and effective work environment

o Ensure an adequate office supply, space management, facility maintenance and equipment in good condition

o Maintain the office budget and keep good track of all records, expense and files

o Provide overall direction and leadership to IT and Security function

o Team management
