Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

 

Support National Accounts by serving as a program specialist responsible for project coordination, order management, and cross-functional execution. This role helps ensure consistent customer experience by partnering closely with National Account Managers and internal stakeholders to track project activity, coordinate priorities, manage changes, and support successful delivery across assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as a Program Specialist supporting National Accounts through strong coordination, execution, and follow-through across customer projects and programs.
  • Provide global tracking and coordination across assigned accounts to ensure consistent execution, visibility, and customer support.
  • Manage orders, expedites, and related project activities to help meet customer commitments and delivery requirements.
  • Partner closely with Product Line Management, plant teams, Customer Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other internal teams to align priorities, status, and execution needs.
  • Participate in customer calls and internal meetings to support communication, drive alignment, and ensure follow-up on project actions and key updates.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and provide timely, accurate communication regarding customer notifications, project changes, and execution status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with National Account Managers to proactively identify issues, remove barriers to execution, build strong customer relationships, and support business needs using systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint, including travel as required.

Education and Skills - Required

 

  • Associate’s degree
  • Familiar with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working cross functionally

Experiences - Desired

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in program coordination, customer operations, sales support, product line management, supply chain, or related customer-facing roles
  • Experience supporting complex customer accounts or large-scale projects
  • SAP proficiency
  • Experience coordinating across plants and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project details, customer communications, and execution follow-up effectively

The range for this position is $63,000.00 - $86,625.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
