The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Role Purpose
The Senior Manager, Strategic Execution serves as a force multiplier for the CIO, driving execution of the high priority initiatives and ensuring follow-through on critical CIO priorities.
This role is accountable for coordinating, tracking, and driving completion of key work across the organization—particularly where ownership is fragmented or unclear. The role also ensures that executive materials and inputs are complete, aligned, and delivered on time for high-stakes reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive execution of key initiatives across COC (Corning Optical Communications)
- Step in to lead initiatives directly when required to ensure delivery and outcomes
- Act as an extension of the CIO to drive follow-through on key priorities and ad hoc requests
- Take ownership of work that lacks clear accountability or risks stalling
- Coordinate across COC and Digital and IT teams
- Align stakeholders, clarify ownership, and drive accountability without formal authority
- Own coordination of inputs for executive reviews (e.g., QBRs, leadership updates)
- Ensure materials are complete, on time, and aligned to requested structure and expectations
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and missing inputs; drive resolution proactively
- Track progress of key initiatives and commitments, highlighting risks and issue
- Intervene to resolve execution gaps or escalate when needed
- Remove barriers, accelerate decision-making, and ensure follow-through to completion
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years in program delivery, operations, or strategic execution roles
- Proven ability to deliver large, cross-functional initiatives in complex organizations
- Strong execution focus, with ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority
- Excellent organizational discipline and follow-through
- Strong problem-solving and structured thinking capabilities
- Clear, concise communication skills with senior stakeholders
- High ownership mindset with a bias toward action and results

The range for this position is $178,553.00 - $245,511.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
